I have had BOClean for about a month, do I have to pay for new versions?

I heard that a new version(s) of BOClean is coming out, and another on its heels.

    Thanks,
    B.

Heres a quote from Nancy at MTM Forum:

Upgrades for versions 4.xx are free for sure. I was under the impression version 5 was not a free upgrade, or at the very least I seem to recall that it was undecided as to which way it was going to go. But that was some time ago and I could be wrong as my memory is kind of sketchy. :) I'm sure Kevin or Nancy will stop by and enlighten us as to the way it really is.

I have not read SnowBound's link yet, but I expect to have to pay for version 5. I have been with version 4 for several years now. I just hope there will not be a price HIKE. I am sure I will want to purchase when it comes out. When ever it does. My advice do not rush it! ;)

I've only used BOClean for a few months. I would be pretty miffed having to pay for a new version so soon.

Does anyone know if v4 will continue to be supported/sig updated alongside v5? As I'd like to feel I can get my money's worth out v4 before having to pay for v5.

I believe it will not be V5 but V4.20 (what's in a name...) so that would mean, no extra fee if I remember Kevin's/Nancy's statement somewhere here...correct me if I'm wrong

    cheers

Don't worry q1aqza, the upgrade to 4.20 is free and if memory serves me correctly then the date for a free update to 5.0 was sometime around dec 04 (or was it 03?), the rest of us who have used BOClean for a long will have to pay fee around $15-20 for 5.0.:)

Does BOClean have an annual subscription cost?

Something like what you said is my understanding as well.

Except for the $15 to $20 for us long time users, if correct that would be a very fair price considering the effort that goes into the product and sig updates. Sign me up as a renewing "Club Member." :)

The only formal statement I've seen on the matter is here, where, according to Nancy:

Thanks Don and Blue for the information.

I just did some searches of old emails and I have some old emails from Kevin back in 2003 so I will be paying something for sure. A discount would be nice.

The old emails were responses to some of my questions about BoClean. Shameless, I know but I never miss an opportunity to plug their good service. :D

Thanks for the reassurance of the free upgrade to V5.

Never was invited to test Boclean. Untill recently was not invited to test DCS software either but that's ok. I will keep doing what I do best.

    Over?
