could anyone tell me how files with extensions like .zip, .avi, etc be blocked by nod32 ? Also is ther provision of blocking mail attachment based on file extension? there is scanning provision for scanning archives but i could not block mail attachments.

What action is taken against infected files in nod32 ver 2.52. And where are the infected files stored?

    Hi natashrestha, welcome to Wilders.

They can't, this is the job of a mail filter not an antivirus.

Not with NOD32, this may be possible with your email client.

This is dependent upon your settings in NOD32. I would suggest a run through the NOD32 Tutorial found HERE

They are located in a folder called infected within the C Drive> Program Files> Eset. This folder is created upon first use of "Quarantine".

    Cheers :D

    Thankyou for answering my queries.
I am using the Nod32 for Linux mail servers. we had used Nod32 with inflex which binded sendmail with it but now we are trying to just use Nod32. Can u tell me if Nod32 also automatically binds sendmail or we have to run sendmail separately while using Bi-directional scanning(content filtering in MTA).
