I am currently on Smart Security 5.2.9.1. When the firewall is turned on, my computer can no longer see my Brother Printer. As soon as I disable it, the status monitor can connect. I added brmfimon.exe & brmfcwnd.exe to the excluded applications under protocol filtering but that didn't seem to do anything. Could someone point me the right direction?

    Thank you.

Gave all those a try, but I am still not able to connect. I checked the log files and this is what I get:

9/4/2012 11:58:09 PM No application listening on the port 192.168.0.20:5355 192.168.0.70:53840 UDP

I have no idea how to get it allow this connection.

Please enable logging of blocked connections in the IDS setup, reproduce the problem and then copy & paste the appropriate firewall log records here.
