    Is this possible?

I really, really need a way to block access to USB thumb drives and external hard drives, but allow access to CD/DVD-ROM drives and USB keyboards and mice.

I need to be able to push this out with a policy via the RAS/RAC...

    Anyone?

Thanks - but that won't work for me yet, because it is for v5, and I'm on the BE, which means I'm still on v4.2 (I said 'using a policy through the RAC/RAS').

As for being able to do this once v5 BE is released, it looks like it might do what I need -

I want to block ANY/ALL USB *storage* devices (thumb drives, hard drives & CD/DVD-ROM drives), so I'd just set 'Device Type' to USB, uncheck 'Serial number:', and set the poilcy to 'Deny access'?

Can you confirm that doing this would still allow the use of USB keyboards/mice, as well as SATA CD/DVD-ROM drives (that are not connected via USB)?

Also - is it possible to do this maybe a different way in v4.2?

    Thanks,

    Charles
