    That is something users will have to decide for themselves.
    Keep in mind that was when the hole leaktest thing was in the lime light and the then NetworkIce Black Ice Defender had no outbound application control. It is also around the same time NetworkIce was acquired by ISS (Internet Security Systems). BID has now become BlackIce PC Protection which introduced some significant changes. I think users would be better served to focus on what the product is today, not what it was a few years ago.
