BitDefender RescueCD (USB)

    Just saw this on Majorgeeks. Do you know if this has to be used in conjunction with Bitdefender AV or is it standalone? Can anyone comment on scan options/times? Does it update definitions before the scan?

    I don't have BD installed, but I'd give the rescue CD a try if that's not a requirement.

    It appears to me that it 'may' be just the BitDefender Rescue CD which 'probably' has an option to make a bootable USB stick. The download file size matches the file size of the January 2011 Bitdefender Rescue CD ISO which is currently on BitDefender's download website.

    I 'think' that you do not need a BitDefender license to use the BitDefender Rescue CD. Just give it a try and find out.
