    Hi

I have just switched from NAV to BitDefender and have a couple of queries (haven't found answer on BitDefender homepage)

    1. I use Flashget as my download manager. In the options of that prog
there is the option for virus scanner to scan the downloaded files
and a box in which to enter the .exe file of virus scanner. With NAV
I just pointed it to Nav.exe and on completing d/load with Flashget
up popped NAV scanner and it did the scan of d/loaded file and
I could safely open that file. I cannot seem to achieve this using
BitDefender as I am unsure which file actually does the scanning and if the
d/loaded file is indeed virus free. I don/t want to manually scan each file I
    d/load.

Are you able to assist or advise where I could find the info quickly?. The help file that came with BitDefender doesn't address such matters.

my apologies for a somewhat naive question, but I am probably missing the obvious.

    Regards

Hi there Noel! I'm afraid I've not got the answer to your question, from Bitdefender I've only ever used an ICQ plugin and never used any download accelerator - but don't give up, I'm sure someone with some experience with these applications will come by sooner or later! (Hopefully sooner ;) )

Oh, and no need to apologize for any questions asked; the only dumb ones are the ones that are never asked ;)

    Hi!

You should find the Bitdefender Console Scaner (bdc.exe) in "Program Files\Common Files\Softwin\Bitdefender Scan Server". You also need to set some command line parameters like bdc.exe /all /files /list /arc /mail (see bdc.exe /?).

    HTH,
    Mihai
