Know their brand name != usable product when not localized. I for one am not able to use any software which requires at least basic settings if the GUI is in Romanian.

In Romania they didn't have to market their products, they are known. And what about the English speaking countries, what products do they know?Norton and Eset i presume. And that's a shame.
You have to wait until the final release in major languages will be ready i think .Don't bash it,until you have reasonable motives to do it.

Just stick all available languages into one installer and release the thing. Later you can add more languages. Sounds like common sense. Also, sounds like common sense that English should be available with the very first new release since it covers about a billion of potential users - unlike Romanian.

Sigh. This has nothing to do with bashing, this is criticism of long lasting broken release scheme there @ Bitdefender folks. :thumbd:

Have you guys ever wondered if the Bitdefender trafficlight developer team are reading this thread (out of curiosity) but are remaining silent in the background? :gack:

Searching the forum for my dearest word :), I've found this thread.
I'm not allowed to disclose much info right now, but I can tell you that my team is in the final stage of developing a new AV concept, and most likely it will be the base for the future Free Edition ;)

This new concept is different from the current BD solutions..

BD v2011 Free Edition is limited only to Romanian and Brazilian, there are no plans (as far as I know) to release it in other languages

    Sweet! :D

New concept? So it would possibly be a cloud-based AV solution much like Panda Cloud? :ninja:

Cool! :argh: And more?! So it would be on par with avast in terms of features? Why has BitDefender chosen to make a free offering?

@Iulika0069: Great news. What are the differences between the new free version and paid versions?
