That bug dates back to 2009 all the way to the present.

oliverjia, can you confirm issue is not present in the AV, AV+ ?

Is it's true, would be happy to use Outpost FW pro [have licence] with it, or even try out Emsisoft AV.

For what its worth, I put IS 2013 on my wife's laptop. It has operated flawlessly and has not caused a single problem......and she would let me know instantly if it caused any slowdown at all. She's not heavy into online media but she does watch the occasional video.

Good question, sorry I don't have any BD product installed on my computers, so I am not sure. I am using Kaspersky av right now.
However, a quick check into the threads in BD forum appears to indicate that some ppl using BD AV also have the same bandwith bug .

It appears I was wrong assuming BD AV plus to be free from that bug. For the time being I would suggest uninstall any BD product until this bug is solved. IMHO, it's really unacceptable for the company to have the same bug unsolved from 2009-2014.

Sorry it appears I spoke too soon regarding BD AV. it appears some ppl in BD forum who has BD AV installed also reported the same issue so I was wrong in suggesting BD av to you.
Sorry for the misleading information I provided in my earlier post.

I am not sure if this is allowed in this forum (if not proper, mods please delete my post), but for anyone who are worried about this BD bandwidth bug, if you would like to install other AV, currently Newegg has Kaspersky IS for 3 PC free after rebate (can not beat free lol). Please note the rebate is limited to 1 per household, so can only buy one. You can use KIS until BD get the bandwidth bug resolved.

Unless you're seeing something that I'm not....from the picture you posted it seems that there were almost 12 - if not 24 - hours between "updates" there. The times are close together, but the dates are a day apart (the 29th and the 30th)

Hello Nedim :) Yeah it's working well for me too. I'm juggling with the idea of trying EAM, but I do really like BDAV.

The choice is yours but I wouldn't change it if it works well for you.

I just received an email in my junk folder that showed BD 2013, all products for sale for 14.95.
Looks like a good deal if legit.

Heads up, I took advantage of that same offer and only found out later that it is set to automatically renew the licence for $49.99 after it expires in a year.
You have to make an account with Bitdefender's digital payment processor (digital river or avangate - mine was avangate) and disable the auto-renewal there.

Otherwise, you'll be in a world of hurt when those 15 licences all auto-renew in a single month for 50 bucks a piece.

It's a scammy practice but BD is sticking at it and defends it in their forums by saying that it's in the interest of the customers.

Thankfully I bought all my licenses with paypal. I then cancelled the auto renew through paypal.
