I actually find the GUI attractive in a way, it isn't as... uh... extreme? as other anti-virus programs. It is very relaxed looking (if that makes any sense)

until now i can only say that i like the GUI, it's more friendly and i like that they did something with the buttons in user mode, i mean it's more like win 7 style, has something that definitely is a plus.
i haven't had the time yet to test it if it moves faster than the 2010 version, did anyone do that, and on what system specs did u test it?

Yes, it has a bit of a tranquil feel about it. But it looks a bit rogue-ish, if I didn't know it was the Bitdefender GUI I might assume it is a rogue.

i wish they would stick with the core product malware detection and stop adding pointless crap.

well, here's an update, downloaded the software, and installed it on my laptop. i have an asus with a core 2 duo t5550, and 2 gb of ram, win 7 ultimate, installed a few moths ago, so it wasn't a clear install. the test went well, from what i saw, it seems improved the search time, but on the part with slowing the pc, i can see a little improvement but still, it seems to be for a very strong pc

Don t worry ,you will have your time to test BD in the next months. It will be like using a beta even as final ,so you wont loose any beta sensations if geting it over a month or two or even six months.Lock-ups ,bugs ,freezing and so on ,you will have them all at a minimum cost

    Yes Sm3K3R....
The version of BD 2010 was had a lot of bug since May 2010 (so from August to May...).
So we hope that BD can resolved all big bugs in those BETAs...
