Just don't write it here though, send your feedback back to the beta dev team.

In all fairness to Bitdefender, before we head down the bashing road, it is beta, raw beta. Give them a chance. I really think that is all they are asking for.

    Some products improve.
    Some become worse.
    And some just stagnate.:cautious:

We just can't be pleased, can we? Last year you guys complained that they didn't keep the old interface but copied Norton. Now they organized the basic view in a different way, which imo is more ergonoimc than last year's. They also give the option to use the old type of interface, by using the Advanced view, when last year it popped up as an additional settings window on top of the basic view. But no, we have to always complain, it always sucks, etc. After all, there are quite many features packed in there, and this is the best way to stay informed of the overall status without having to dig through menus and settings to see if everything is fine. It just can't get a lot tidier than this, with this many features inside. And the delay, some people cry like babies who haven't been given their toys the moment they wanted them. 10 days delay isn't so bad at all. Didn't ESET also delay their beta last year? Not to mention Microsoft with their infamous delays of 1-2 years.

And if you're going to write to BitDefender and complain about the interface, tell them how exactly do you want it to look, don't just say that it sucks now.

Two years ago I pushed BitDefender (version 9) on my friends and relatives. I too noticed the increase of bugs, stability, and performance decrease with every major release. I just gave up on them. Lets see what they do with their beta...

Well, I finally managed to give the beta a good try and I like the new basic interface. I disliked the one in 2008 alot but this one is convenient and the advanced view should satisfy the more advanced users type.

Couple of small interface bugs here and there, but nothing problematic so far "under the hood"

Yeah, I went through them and reported what was still problematic. Wish I had mroe than one computer for testing though as I cannot test the network feature which seems nice to have to control scan on other computers.

Instead of wining of the look here at the forum, at least tell them what they could have done better. They can't fix it without any opinion from the testers. Saying it sucks doesn't help a thing.

The Trend Micro GUI sucks, oh my god, it sucks. Pointing to marciocruz.

I'd like buttons like the ones in Windows Media Player 11 in Windows Vista, but then someone will complain that the interface is too heavy and a resources hog. Oh well... :p

But it is their very early Beta Version and BitDefender does value peoples opinions and experiences before they foist it on their user public. Also, what does BitDefender have to do with Trendmicro...

    BitDefender 2009 Beta

    BitDefender IS 2009 Beta

    No substantial Improvement from 2008.

I hate to see the window saying
"BitDefender couldn't clean the 'X' file.
    Your computer is not clean.
Click on the BitDefender to find more about this file"
    or something like that!

    Same old story...

I've heard that develop and support team don't care about users suggestion's.
So no improvements at all from 2008 ?

    Re: BitDefender 2009 Beta

I tried it myself , i give it a shot and installed on my pc, everything went smooth updating and then i must reboot to finish the install, then when pc started it was a huge log and my pc keep freezing and everything went so slowly, so i removed it fast and deleted all registry key of it, and i am happy that i dont have it anymore, it totaly destroyed my pc.

    Re: BitDefender 2009 Beta

I was referring to whether the developers care about suggestions or not.

BD 2009 is an early beta version. By someone's terms, it might even be considered an alpha version, so you shouldn't mess with it unless you're prepared for the consequences, and it's too early to judge its performance.
