I didnt find that every update the prog had to be re-booted or PC had to be re-booted unless it was a major big update and if it did, it did not bother me at all. Though alot of times when I recvd the usual AV dat updates I never really needed to re-boot the PC.

For those who are currently on V9.0 are they entitled to a free upgrade to version 10 ?

Yes you can, BitDefender users can upgrade to newer versions as long their license is valid.

The UK English version of BitDefender 10 is ready:

BitDefender AntiVirus v10 (UK English, upgrade for BD Standard 9):
    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/desktop/antivirus/final/uk/bitdefender_av_v10.exe

BitDefender AntiVirus Plus v10 (Upgrade for BD Pro 9, UK English edition):
    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/desktop/antivirus_plus/final/uk/bitdefender_avplus_v10.exe

BitDefender Internet Security v10 (UK English edition, upgrade for BD 9.5 Internet security):
    http://download.bitdefender.com/win...curity/final/uk/bitdefender_isecurity_v10.exe

Although the packages are meant for UK english users, if you have an English version of BD currently (regardless if it is UK English or not), your current license key should work with these versions.

The only differences between the UK and International English versions is a bit of change in the contact information on the BitDefender Status screen.

I don't have time to check it out, maybe some of you can. :)

Only difference are the (support-) links in the program I suppose. Maybe this is an advantage for European users since Great Britain is closer so their working hours fit more into then the US working hours...

(sorry for my grammar today, I'm tired :-* )

Sometime i ask myself why on earth some companies even bother to offer beta testing if they don't take anything serious. HTTP scanner reports local file as infecte instead URL from which the file actually originated. I've reported this long ago in beta testing and they even assured me it's fixed.
Here i have the fina version and nothing is fixed :(
Tray icon is not restarting, true, but taskbars are still flashing all over the place. Is it really so hard to make update window completelly invisible!?

Here are some screenshots. Basically it's like BD9 in nicer outfit with more general sliders and that antispyware thingie.

But apart from those annoying things mentioned above i like it a lot. Memory usage has been slimmed too :)

Downloaded it, I had the beta version for awhile. So downloaded the inrenet suite 10. It slowed down, a slow to begin with, Spy Sweeper. It made its time double, which was already bad. Eats alot of resources, nice product if you have the space and time, but nod is for me.

It wouldn't even allow you to boot into safe mode?

I would expect it to be a driver-related issue. Probably it would have been solved by deleting a file named bdfdll.sys in the BitDefender directory. After deleting it, BD would probably report lots of errors from the next boot, but you'd at least have enough headroom to get to the Control panel and uninstall it.

But it is indeed strange that you should experience such an issue :doubt:

It will be interesting to see if the incompatibility issues are improved with BD10. In that regard are any of you using Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, Spybot, or Ewido along with BD10?\

    Thanks,
    Jerry

    i don't what's happening with bitdefender 10?
i install it,when i re-boot everything goes fine until the point winxp logo is shown..that screen appears blank here with a cursor blinking at top left.
You can't un-install bitdefender in safe-mode since it requiers windows installer to un-install.
The only option that worked was formatting my hdd and re-installing windows....
i was busy whole day b'coz of this.......
