bit defender

Does anyone know which firewall is used in professional plus.

The BitDefender Firewall is made by Softwin. This firewall is an application firewall (i.e. it will only block applications from making unauthorised connections to the Internet). It does not protect you from hackers. A full firewall should probably be included in BitDefender 9.0

It is recommended that you use the Windows Firewall along with the BD firewall. There are no conflicts between the two.

 

Thanks. Would there be a conflict if i used it with a free firewall,say look n stop.

 

I dont know for sure. I do know that it will conflict with firewalls that have application/services level blocking.

If the firewall only protects from outside threats like viruses, hackers etc. then there is no conflict with BD firewall

 

Best antivirus ive tried.
Firewall is only application so ive taken it off.
Ive never seen so many updates.
It is also the lightest ,on my pc,that ive ever tried.
I think ive finally found the antivirus for me .After this i dont think i can find better.

 

the firewall is only so so . didnt pass most tests and didnt stealth all ports for me when i tried it. this was pro 8. av was very good just didnt like the firewall. and i do believe as firecat stated it is softwin brand firewall
