beware when upgrade to AVG 8.0 from 7.5 anti-spyware

I am using AVG Free 7.5 antivirus and AVG 7.5 antispware pro

I downloaded the new AVG 8.0 Antivirus with antispyware.

I did not uninstall any of the 7.5 products, I wanted to see what it would do.

AVG 8.0 uninstalled the AVG antivirus program but did NOT uninstall AVG antispyware 7.5. After it installed I was left with AVG 8.0 and AVG antispyware 7.5.

This is on xp pro sp2 totally up to date.

I believe Grisoft needs to fix this asap!

What is going to happen when people wait till they see the popup on their program to install the upgrade and find when following the directions it leaves them with avg 7.5 afterwards?


I then uninstalled AVG 8.0
rebooted
uninstalled AVG 7.5 antispyware
rebooted

reinstalled AVG 8.0
