im not sure if this has been posted or not...

    Inofficial Spybot-S&D version around 3. November 2004

Since yesterday evening, places like BetaNews or MajorGeeks offer Spybot-S&D, version 1.3.2 beta (spybotsd132b.exe). We're not sure how this version reached them or why they do publish it, but this had been an internal test version and was never intended for public use.

We strongly advise you to not use this version, as it contains debug code that will most probably fail on your computer. An official new version will be out quite soon, please look for announcements on the official site and on our support forum first.

    Hi bigbuck,

1.3.1 did fix that bug, but it was only a beta release, and the beta is no longer available for download. The 1.3.1tx also fixed it, but it was a version for testing purposes only and never meant for public download.

I found this thread at NI that might help explain a bit more.
    http://forums.net-integration.net/index.php?showtopic=24817

(lower down in the 2nd post in that thread you'll see where it says the 2 versions that fixed the bug were withdrawn)

At the moment, v.1.3 is the last official release, though there is no fix for the DSO Exploit "bug" in that version. Hopefully there will be soon.

    Hope that helps,

    snap

Ahh...Just use 1.3.1 TX version. It's great. I dunno who says it's not for public release. Guess where I got it? Safer Networking. It was officially released and then later withdrawn. I have no idea what all this worry is about debugging code that will fail on my computer. It works great. Much better than 1.3. It fixed the DSO EXploit bug. I'd say get it from MajorGeeks.
