    Does your target drive or partition is smaller than source? If so you have to play/calculate with Compact function. You can read about it posts above this.

    Weird. The only times I've see IFW very slow were when lots of bad sectors were present. That seems unlikely here. Even if you inadvertently selected "Copy All Sectors" it shouldn't have been that slow.

    no same size drive. yeah it baffled me also. checked the drives with chkdsk no reported bad sectors on either drive.
