I use musikcube for a long time. Both as a player and organizer, simple and the best solution for me.

I like BSPlayer. Low CPU usage and will play all video formats nicely, without the worry of extra Codec installation conflicts. Skinable interface also. I use Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic also as backups.

previously i said i used media player classic, but after giving zoom player a shot, i can say its my new favorite. skinnable, tons of options and an equalizer, and teh only other player recommended for use with CCCP (see sig below). once configured its an amazing and powerful media player.

I've only got two media players on my system - Real and Windows Media Player. The one that gets used the most is WMP.

Just a brief comment in regards to:

    "BEOPLAYER"

......beoplayer contains software from Gracenote. Inc, of Berkley, California

The Gracenote CDDB Service uses a Unique Identifier to TRACK queries.......for statistical purposes........(note: this is clearly stated in its eula)

Not so long ago windows media player was proclaimed as spyware for containing a unique identifier...........in newer versions of WMP a User can disable that.......or so I am told....(don't use it myself)

This post is simply for informational purposes.....so that Users can make an informed choice.

    XMPLAY!

I am starting to wonder why people overlook and underestimate xmplay? .. it's based on winamp but much much much better! It's less than 1mb, no install, (run from flash drive) very low resources, extremily high quality, lot's of skins to chose from, support for alot of codecs, and of course completly free! what's the deal?

I have both Real & Windows Media Player on my system. They are both used in equal measure.

I'll give it a try. Is it similar to quintessential and winamp?
Becuase I dont like them becuse they have panels that get in the way of each other. :thumbd:

I mainly like JetAudio for it autohiding playlist (very useful if you're using other programs while listening to music.

Why is VideoLAN Client better? :doubt:

I use Exact Audio Copy with the appropriate plugins to get the best audio of my CD's. It's real good!! :thumb:

I used to use RealPlayer until a year or so ago, when it got so bad for spyware that even the standard anti-spy utilities were starting to pick up "bad vibes" from it. Winamp (free version) these days, although I wouldn't call it the best -- one of its biggest drawbacks is that it doesn't have (or I can't find) any provision for checking for updates/upgrades, which is pretty much standard with most other players.

I tried evil player...and after 10mins of mucking around with it I uninstalled it because it was so boring and plane looking. Not very functional either!

    What about Sonique ?

(still hangs in Beta phase due to its change of hand and management policy...but you will love its look and sound quality I am sure)

The latest beta version of Sonique 2 (build 103) can be found here
