Best free 'out the box' for newbie

    Twl845, I just want to add that not only was your post accurate, as I have used the free versions of the ZA Firewall you mentioned, but it was also very funny.

    exactly! therefore the windows firewall (or even better: a router), would give them good inbound protection and they wouldnt have to bother with any alerts.

    between comodo and ZA (only) though, id edge closer to ZA. its proven at being easy-to-use and its good for a firewall.
