I'm a little disappointed that my Acer Aspire does not have more information to display as to just how much jam the battery has left, but it just says "Consider replacing your battery." Anyway, I know there is software out there which will analyse the battery and report. If someone here can recommend a particular software, I would appreciate it.
    Thank you.

NirSoft's BatteryInfoView is a good, free tool.

Whoa.... It has only 32% left. OK, it needs replacing, but I need to shut down, drive an hour, then operate for a while on wall power, then shut down and bring it home again. I don't have the opportunity to replace it before I leave. Surely it will last an hour shut down without going belly-up...... eh?

@razorboy When you unplug it from the power, if you move your mouse over the battery icon, it should show how much time is left before the battery goes flat.
