bare metal restore

I just purchased Acronis and am looking for suggestions as to how to prepare to do a bare metal restore. The server has an external ultrium tape or I could purchase some nas. Looking for the best proven method.

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please be aware that there is no need to perform any special preparations in order to be able to do a bare-metal restore. Actually, that is the reason why it is called "bare-metal".

In other words, you just need to boot your computer from the special rescue disc and restore the image from any type of the supported media (e.g. CD, DVD, external hard drive, network drive, etc.)

Please also note that you can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image in the respective User's Guide.
