Have 2 hard drives C and D. I created a 100 GB secure zone on drive D so if drive C fails I can restore to a new replacement C drive from the D drive.

When I saved the entire C drive as an image in the secure zone, it says that a file name is not required in the text box where one would normally enter a file name. So I just continued and the save image completed fine. There is only about 6 GB of data on the C drive so there is a lot of extra space in the secure zone.

Now I want to save a second full image in the secure zone so I can have at least two full backups of the C drive. I want to do full backups about every 2-3 months into the secure zone. How can I do this without a unique name for each save since the text box says a file name is not required? It seems that another save will just overwrite the previous save.

    Thanks,
    Skyhawk

    Hello Skyhawk,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please note that images in Acronis Secure Zone are sorted by creation date and are not deleted until Acronis Secure Zone is full. When you haven't got anough space for the image only the oldest one is deleted. When you restore the image from Acronis Secure Zone you are given a list of possible images to choose which one you want to restore.

    Thank you.

Just to be 100% sure that I'm doing it correctly:
Are you saying that I can just keep doing full backup saves to the secure zone without entering any file name and that TI8 will continue to do the saves in a circular first in first out method without overwriting previous backups until the entire secure zone is full?

Sorry to be so persistent but I just need to be sure.
    Thanks a lot!
