Backup Failed Errors

I am running Acronis version 8.0 Build 1,213.
I am successfully backing up images to my fileserver across the network, but occasionally I am seeing these error messages:

Failed to write data to the Image archive file. A possible reason might be poor media quality.|| None.

Operation with Partition C terminated with Code 4 Write error.

Can someone explainwhat they mean and how can I fix them?

Sounds like a write error accross the network. Acronis uses the "poor media quality" error for that sort of problem sometimes. With big files such as images, that's much more likely than with small data files. I think network traffic could cause the problem or another system accessing the drive you are saving to.

In one case with a network attached storage drive, I found that splitting the image at around 1000MB solved the problem.
