I'm thinking of buying TI 10 Home.

Looking at the datasheet one of the new features is the ability to backup application settings.

Does it support Outlook 2007 or just older versions of Outlook?

Does it recognise Office 2007 files (e.g. .docx documents saved by Word 2007) as well as the older .doc format?

IE 6 SP2 and Firefox 1.5 are listed, but not IE7 or Firefox 2. Are these newer versions supported?

Adobe Reader 7 is mentioned but not 8. Is this also supported?

If these newer versions are not yet supported, are they likely to be supported in the near future?

I see that the most recent build listed on the Web Site is dated October 17 2006 (build 4871). How often are updates/bug fixes likely to be released?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tony

    Hello EnGenie,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please note that the current version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home supports back up messages, accounts and settings of the following e-mail clients: Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 and Microsoft Outlook Express.

E-mail backup is a subset of file-level backup that backs up predefined folders and requires minimum user selections. However, if need be, you can select Microsoft Outlook components and folders individually.

Other supported applications are all listed on this page.

Please have a look at this post by mark7 where you can find the list of applications supported with the current version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. The list of supported applications will be gradually built up.

If you want us to change the behavior of Acronis True Image in any way or add some new features to this product, please feel free to post any of your suggestions in Acronis True Image WISH-LIST thread.

The new builds are always in development, but there is no specific release date available.

    Thank you.
