    Hi

I find it a little inconvenient to have to go to the Setup menu > Import/Export settings, and then export my preferences and firewall rules to an XML file.

I just automated back up solutions, and it would be really nice if I could just set the software to back up one file on the system that had the up to date preferences.

A possible solution would be to schedule the exporting of the XML file. This is, however, not yet implemented.

I hope others who back up their computers can offer their opinions in this thread.

You could schedule a registry export via 'reg export "HKLM\Software\ESET\ESET Security" "c:\somedirectory\%date%_backup.reg"' and re-import those settings if things get trashed.
