    Hi!

I noticed after the fact that I backed up in the "Vista" Partition Alignment Mode (Tools >> Settings, using Paragon Backup & Recovery 2011 (Advanced) Free!). It all went well, and the integrity check was fine.

But, do I need to do it again under the "Legacy" Partition Alignment Mode to be sure I can replace my hard drive if it crashes?

    Thanks!

I think it is not necessary. The setting only applies to the creation or copying of partitions. It does not apply to the creation of images.

If you eventually plan to restore the image to free non-allocated space, that operation would imply the creation of a partition. In that case you should select the appropriate option depending on the type of disk used and the manufacturer´s recommendation.
