B&R 2011 hangs when I select any pbf for recovery

I have two complete drive archives of the same drive in different states. Selecting the pbf for either one for recovery (using the 2011 recovery cd), in either partition or full disk mode, seems to hang with a "Please wait while system is performing command" message.

One archive was made with the Paragon Backup & Recovery 2011 in Windows 7 x64. The other was made with the backup disk option from the recovery cd. Both the drive with the archives and the drive I want to restore onto are new, tested, have adequate space, and are recognized. They're mounted internally.

I've waited hours and the system doesn't seem to be doing anything; no drive activity, etc. If it really takes this long for the cd to recognize an archive I can wait, but I have a feeling something else is wrong.

Any suggestions?
