Is AX64 similar to Macrium Reflect or are they totally different in what they each do?

I would encourage you to check out the AX64 thread. Yes, I know that it is a very long thread. But, maybe do a search within that thread for Macrium Reflect. You will find much discussion within that thread about the similarities and differences.

Or, go into one of the Macrium Reflect threads and do a search for AX64. You will find similar discussions.

Bottom line for me (and many others) is that I own both products and use both products. I would never use just one backup or imaging solution.

Tom...using a common denominator, they both can do INCREMENTAL imaging of a single partition.

As an imager, Macrium has many more features, at this point in time, than AX64 (see the link in the previous post).

BUT, AX64 has one unique feature that Macrium (or just about anyone else) doesn't have... a feature they call High Speed HOT restore (see their link).

Only at their common denominator can you really compare them... and they are very similar. Beyond that, it depends on what the user's needs are.
