    A blast from the past ! I'd almost forgotten about it :( So Thanks for the reminder :thumb:

    I found it Very useful back in my 98SE days, & even afterwards when i moved to my current XP. It has lots of features built in that others didn't/havn't :)

    Since the original coder moved to Kaspersky with his App & talent, it went a bit quiet for some time ?

    Does anyone know the purpose of the other downloads?

    I think that I understand the Database download. I assume that the Database download is for when you want to update AVZ when there is no Internet connection.

    TheBat plugin download? I found a software called TheBat! which is an email client. What is the purpose of TheBat plugin?

    Script Editor? I assume this is for writing your own custom scripts.

    The AVZ scanner can be integrated with The Bat by using a plug-in.

    :oops: Ahhh okay, I see what my problem was - I was mislead by the title and thought it was for downloading the database only. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.

    What are the advantage(s) of having both The Bat and the AVZ plugin for The Bat?

    Why would a person need The Bat?

    Just the mystery courtesy Tower of Babel from the ancients. Takes some time to finally read into different languages then your own. Apparently English must be simple as dirt from all others to grasp. Russian at least looks familiar to English alphabet. Oriental however is off the charts for some of us. lol
