The support website has been updated and the search includes all knowledge base articles combined with questions / discussions and solutions from the community on Avira Answers. The kb articles have been in sync with Answers since a while and is well accessed. Everything is still there - what kind of information do you miss exactly?

How can I stop receiving Email notifications from Avira Answers when someone else answers a forum section question that I have answered previously?

Maybe jumping in way to early but........ installed Avira Security on trial (its $24.95 x3PCs DownloadCrew) I like it much more than Avast. Totally silent & invisible so far. a big thumbs up.

will it ever be updated to the next version (from .570) by itself or do we have to use the stupid launcher if we want to update, and will the next update include the launcher or will we only have that if we install it? im hoping down the line i can just use a older version and let it update to the new version WITHOUT the new stuff i dont want (audio grabber, launcher, toolbar, dropbox etc i only want the av and main shields) as i have said if im forced into all those things imo that is a horrible path for avira to take. i see so many agree with me all over i am reading people saying they dislike the new launcher and so many asking where they can get a offline version to do a custom install. i have seen it posted at many forums all over the place now. and many many people agree with my stance and will be moving on if this is the direction we are forced to take. i finally got everything working (minus the issue with downloads which is supposed to now be fixed) on almost 20 pc's and ill be removing it from all of them and also informing many of my clients who also do not want the "extras" they will have to do the same thing. i left it installed on a few systems hoping there would be a fix for the downloads but i will not be installing the version that will not let me do a custom install. and ill have a load of boxed lic's going to ebay.

there is only avira pro now. the other versions simply include other add on's as you go up in version name.

My current AV license is about to expire. I'm thinking of going back with Avira free. Is the nag screen still removed? Does the program come with any "extra surprises" I have to worry about during install? What's the deal with the web protection?

Good Afternoon! I currently have a license for Avira A/V Pro...and I've recently re-installed it and haven't encountered this Non-Option dictate with Avira On-Line Essentials. Is this only on New Licenses? And like many...I purchased Avira for it's Protection...Not to be Manipulated by Non-Option Marketing Strategies. So let me have some Clarification in regards to the situation. Avira as I understand; has this as a Non-Option baked into the Installer...is that Correct? If this is true they have made a Grave mistake...and their Market Share will take a Meaningful Hit. And I for one will leave as a Customer. Sincerely...Securon

..... for the FREE version only.

For paid versions is optional, see more details here:

What happens if I install the Avira Online Essentials client on my PC and I have already an Avira Antivirus paid product installed?

Good Evening! When the new version comes out...you might be able to bypass the Launcher when going through the Custom Install routine...otherwise Houston We Have a Problem! Sincerely...Securon
