Some interesting comments by Mele20 - I agree 100 per cent.

About the webguard, if the uninstall of the toolbar is clean and easy, that will ease the mind of a lot of loyal Avira free users.

What is also interesting is that Avira Premium users don't need to have either one of the bloatwares installed on the computer to use the web shield as per usual :)

For the free version I assume alot of people will simply uninstall or disable the ASK toolbar and uninstall the uniblue garbage.

I agree with much of what Mele20 said too. It is interesting that the Avira staff didn't have much to say about what he posted. There is another longer thread over there and they ignored much of what Mele20 posted.

The purpose of my thread was to indicate a possible new development. Read the link provided. Not to shame anybody or rehash Mele 20's comments or circumvent the closure of the other thread here at Wilder's.

My understanding is it's the FREE version! Get the PAID version if you don't like it! It's free, what do you expect. I wish people would quit expecting something for nothing. You should be lucky it's offered at all. If they do it in the paid version, then that is a completely different story.
