How does Avira force you to pay for it ? Do they put a gun against your head ? :D

    At least they are transparant.

Just found out about the foundation Avira forces its customers to donate to.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avira

    http://www.auerbach-foundation.com/Stifter-Auerbach-Stiftung.aspx

Now i understand why Avira FORCES customers to donate to the foundation, its because its foundation created by Avira's Founder. Its just so convenient :thumbd:

@trjam, spare your posts, you are on my block list.

IMO you guys are fighting on useless things. Why don't you ask "Avira" about the same? If you feel that they are not transparent, then do not purchase their software...Else ask your lawyer to look into the matter.

But STOP attacking each other. Grow UP !! :)

Don't like it? Don't buy it. You are not going to change it either way or run them out of business. No one is forcing anyone to buy Avira. If it is so good that some are angry because you cannnot buy it for principle, then it must be good, and in my view you are swatting at a single gnat.

As for me, I don't care what they do with the money as long as it is not for something immoral.

This is a useless discussion. I would hope that the thread would contain useful information as to the pros and cons of this suite. I am trying it, and would appreciate information that would help me decide on it or another. This VAT discussion is not helpfull to anyone.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I went to a Gentlemans Club last week and they forced me to get a table dance and afterward I went to a movie and they forced me to buy popcorn. I guess you have no ability to make your own decisions...ho-hum...
