Avira does not load on startup

Hi,
on only one of my PCs avira antivir 9 free does not load during startup ( vista says check your anti virus ). This issue can be resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling...but it does not seem elegant.

Also, during unistall I get a blue screen. This was also true when I had lately tried to uninstall version 8. Uninstalling in safe mode does the job but it does not seem elegant again ( problem noticed on 3 PCs during passage from ver 8 to 9)

Actually I would expect something more from Avira. Any comments or advice?

(On these system there is only Online Armor installed as firewall, no other realtime protection / OA versions are not the latest RC1 and RC2 but the version before these)

 

Another issue on the PC on which avira did not load on startup, after uninstalling Avira in safe mode and rebooting in normal mode (Vista 32bit), OA came up with the Safety wizard. Strange things...great mess.

I guess just another normal day, losing time because of others.
