Avira and Spyware Terminator wizz match.

    Anyone running Avira and ST after update of both having problems with Avira flagging ST with a rootkit?

    Yeah, i had the same problem last night. Sent them the spywareterminatorshield.exe as a false positive, and today I got an email from them telling it's a FP, and that it'll be fixed in one of the next database updates. This is like the 10-th time AntiVir flags ST as either HEUR suspicious file or in this case even a rootkit. I really don't get it how come they have never been able to somehow 'whitelist' that file once for good :cautious:

    Thank's for the response people,ps. no thank's on Spybot.
    It seems the two companies do not like each other and will not play nice together,lol.

    I don't think it's anything to do with like, (although ST seems to be getting a little impatient) but more to do with how the Avira heuristics operate when scanning for rootkits following a def's update, from what I gather.
    I'm a contented Avast! user, so don't have the problem. :)
