And include behaviour blocker in the free version. Now all its top competitors in free version features behavior blocker.

You don't have to. It took me awhile but I got my machine sorted out for the most part. Im back on Avast now. Will report this bug to Avira however.

    Thanks.

The interface in the screenshot kindly provided by windowsdefender in post # 160 retains a lot of the elements of version 10 so not a radical departure there. But I wonder why (like many others competitors ) Avira is also doing things that the OS already can do or does like backing up documents etc?

Maybe they are trying to encourage their users to backup their data?

Ther own back up application for the Internet Security users, we beta testers do not get the backup or firewall (which is not worth it in my opinion)

My bro installed this on his netbok and guess what, it made it unusable, at the first boot it just would not load properly and then he had to restart it a few times, when it finally worked it hogged down the PC  So he ended up uninstalling it

Still no ProActiv on x64, and scan for incompatible software during install detected Hitman Pro as incompatible.

Well what's mentioned is results, and if the company can't deliver the features/stability that's expected, then what you see posted here is what you get.

I cannot believe they still call it Luke Filewalker. I was hoping for some other name. But, I guess it does not make much difference as I moved on to avast! :D

Was ProActiv promised for x64 or hinted at for v12?
Has Avira set an official date for x64 implementation as far as you know?
Somewhat amazing that there's still such a basic difference between x86 and x64...
