Can anybody tell me where the AVG scan results are located in Windows XP ?

I am talking about the actual results summary giving detailed information of blocked intrusions, NOT just the scan profile, which is of no interest.

I would like to access these listed detailed intrusion results and copy to Notepad.

Having tried very hard so far, I cannot find these lists.

In the AVG settings there should be a location you can manually set for them. Try looking for that and navigating to that location to see if the old ones are there.

    Oh dear WhiteD my friend,

I cannot find anything on the AVG panel that tells me where these results are. When a scan is finished, a summary is given with no LISTED details of the intrusions - you can bring up an INDIVIDUAL detail of each item, but not a list, then all I am asked to do is CLOSE the results. From then on they disappear into an AVG black-hole never to be seen again by the human eye.

Individual details are no use when one needs to send the list to some other recipient for attention. Only a list is of use in this case, not individual panel stuff.

    Probably something like

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\avg9\Log and:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ Application Data\avg9\scanlogs

but you may have to 'show hidden files and folders' to see them.

Also make sure they aren't being cleaned by ccleaner. Untick avg in applications as a test.

    Thanks Stapp.

The scanlogs folder only has 12 bytes against it and when opened is blank.
The Log files are there and when opened with Notepad do show the scan profiles BUT not the results summary. It is the results I need, not the scan jargon.

I just do not know where they are. I have no cleaners at work on my system unless I use them manually.

I have always had trouble with the scan results, just do not know where AVG puts them when the scan is closed on completion.
