    Hi,

I want to AVG Anti-Malware trial version on my friend desktop.

How is it ? speed ? performance ? memory usage ? updates ?

Please don't suggest another product or no comparison too.

    Comments only on AVG Anti-Malware.

    fast on everything.

memory usage is respectable, but system performance is fantastic!

VM mem usage must be really low compared to others.

avg runs great. ive used it well in the past and it never ran bad i just never fealt comfortable with its detection butit has come a long way. would not be my first choice but if i had it and it didnt cost me for the anti malware version id run it. there are better paid ones out there but most not as light..

Resident Shield is 64.2M. Is this what is slowing your computer down?

Size alone is no barometer of an effect on one's system. Maybe you had a conflict with another program. For instance, there are certain versions of Roxio products which are not compatible with certain versions of AVG programs.

Search for specifics on your favorite search engine or on the respective Roxio/Grisoft sites if you're interested.

    Regards,
    Jim
