AvG A/S & Windows Security Center

Why would the Windows Security Center
NOT Recognize Both
AvG AntiSpyware version 7.5.1.43 FREE
and
AvG Anti Virus 7.5.524 FREE

Both show
Out of Date
or Not Found .. for about 3 days now

Could this be due to the New AVG version 8


This seems to have started around 7 /14/08 after updates

All was fine earlier last week though...

becoming a Ghost Town now that AVG 8 is out

It seems questions are going on for a very long time with no responses
or
Does more than 1 person have to report on a suspected issue/problem
before it is considered to be valid ...

 

Sorry for the delay. The Windows Security Center does not recognize all installed Security Software, in the past maybe it has not recognize correctly also the old ewido/AVG Software products, but with the Release of Version 8 of AVG Anti-Virus Software, the Windows Security Center should now detects it as installed Anti-Virus solution for the System.
If the Windows Security Center does not show you correctly the update informations of the installed Security Software, we recommend to start these applications to check if you really have the latest Updates or if these Software programs offer such a function: to use the automatic Update.
