I've just installed Windows Vista SP2 (clean install), and I've installed AVG 8.5.375, and sometimes, when booting/rebooting, AVG's tray bar icon gets an exclamation mark (it means something is wrong) and Windows security center gives a warning saying that AVG is not activated. I activate it, and no deal. It still won't activate. Other times, Windows security center will say it isn't activated, but is. Other times, it just working fine.

Has anyone experienced the same? Maybe a bug in SP2?

    Thank you

m00nbl00d, I don't have Vista, but perhaps this thread Whats going on in the AVG Free Forums, with a link to an utility tool for Vista, could help you.

Maybe someone else who has Vista and AVG will post soon. Let us know if the tool works.

    Thanks... You I'll try that.

My guess is that it is a bug with Windows Security Center, and, somehow, when reporting AVG isn't active, it actually deactivates it. o_O No idea.

Anyway, if it persists, I'll get in touch with AVG.
