Hello ppl! I upgraded from AVG 7.1 to 7.5 and seems that the newest version slows down boot time on my machine. I ran Microsoft's bootvis tool and the offending process seems to be avg7srw.sys Thsi system is just an old AMD Athlon XP 1700 (1.4Ghz) with 256 MB RAM. Is anybody else having this problem? Hope to hear from anyone soon! Bye o_O

A product update just today claims to speed up start up process I believe. I use the Pro Version and it's in the task tray before Cyberhawk and Arovax Shield after restart. Not sure about shut down time though. I'll try to check it and see. What was in the update is here in the updates section.

Yes, AVG 7.5.446 update. Not sure if it applies to free version though. It actually just optimizes the bootup process, and a certain Windows Security Center message I was getting during boot up has suddenly disappeared with this update.

Do you have 2-3 AVGrssvc.exe process running after this build 446?

Not sure if my update is corrupt.
