Avast Web Shield conflicts with advanced Application Filtering

    This problem goes back to Avast 4 and still exists in Avast 5. When the Web Shield is active, the Application Filtering port/IP rules for a program cease to function. I don't know if it's an unavoidable conflict or not, but I thought I'd post about it since I haven't found any mention of it in this forum.

    I guess its maybe because most folks don't use the advanced application filtering?.I use avast and currently looknstop and hadn't noticed any particular problems with any application on default settings.
