I had to do a system restore to 2 days ago and I went to update Avast and nothing happened. Does anyone now how to fix this?

What message is displayed? Or it simply doesn't show anything?

I was going to install AVG to try it out but Avast won't install at all. I click remove in the add/remove thing but nothing happens.

No too heavy a knock at ALWIL but i D/L AVAST! last night and proceeded to update it. Well, absolutely no Task Bar icons to speak of after several many attempts (and REPAIR), plus it fails to integrate fully with my SENTINEL2, so sorry to have to say it's in the dumper for now on this end.

Found Bit Defender much better at Install & Updating, plus detections, and, well, everything i was looking for but didn't get with AVAST!

AVAST! has served me well in the past and for that i can be grateful, but their forums have a bit too many complaints at the present time. Maybe another time again, or maybe never, who knows.

AV's have a major chore just to keep themseleves stable let alone up-to-date on detections.

That's my latest find & report. EASTER

Try the latest avast! beta 4.7.925 yet? it's been working beautifully for me, no glitches, no problems, avast! is now faster and lighter than ever. :thumb:
