I am using the Netveda firewall. I noticed that some of the Avast! Home AV services were in the trusted apps section of the firewall and some were not. I used the Firewall's search function and found the Web Shield, AshWebSv.exe and added it to the trusted applications zone. When I opened a web page the next time, Netveda told me that a new application, AshWebSv.exe, wanted on the internet.

Does this mean that I was not utilizing the Web Shield until now?

Moreover, should I add all of the .exe apps of the Avast AV to the trusted zone of the firewall ? Maybe I am not using some of the other services properly.

    Thanks,

    B.
