    eScan Anti-Virus For Mac
    ESET Cyber Security Pro
    F-Secure Anti-Virus For Mac

Hat tip to AVC for being the first test Organization to start testing the Mac Security solutions as well. :thumb:

    Thanks.

Just only being curious here, no Intego nor Sophos tested (to name a few)?
I hope that IBK can tell a bit more ;)

    You're welcome. :thumb:

Yeah good question... AVC is testing Sophos Win Solutions so AVC must surely been in contact with them about the Mac test I would think :doubt: , but Intego have never been tested by AVC so I don't know if they asked Intego at all.

And hopefully Webroot will participate with the Mac version of WSA later on.

But yeah, let's see what IBK have to say about it :)

    @IBK
Are there any plans for a Performance test including these products? :)

all were invited, some did not want to join for various reasons (usually when a new test comes, some want to first see how it goes and only the next year they join. See e.g. previous mobile reviews, where at the begin only few joined and then each year more products were added), some preferred to get reviewed later internally (and some are planning to cease in near future developing in the Mac area and focus on other products). So please do not ask about non-included products, as I can't tell things which are not public on our website (as stated in the FAQs under the contact form ;)).
I can't promise if a performance test on Mac will be done next year, although we are thinking about it.
P.S.: here is a list of various vendors.

Nice to actually see Mac comparative.
I have OS X 10.8.2 mountain Lion 2.26 Core 2 Duo 4 gigs ram.I tried the following apps.
    1.Avast
    2.Bitdefender
    3.Eset
    4.F-Secure
    5.IAntiVirus
    6.Intego
    7.Sophos

Outside of malware testing I found Bitdefender and F-Secure the best performance on OS X.Currently using F-Secure and love it.The scans are fast and there is no impact at all on the system and I love the 1 click Block all traffic.

Thanks IBK for your reply and the test.

I fully respect that you can't tell what you can't tell.

No really as much vendors as in Windows Tests. :D
Good job for Avast! and Avira both are free and detected all of the samples. :thumb:
