    To be fair, that removal test did not have a large sample.

    Under Vista Symantec Enterprise AV only used about 30 mb more than Nod32 on a 2 gig memory system. The difference is going from 585 to 615, hardly noteworthy. Vista's heavy memory use now makes 3 and 4 gig systems attractive.

    I can stay 10 years without AV and keep my computer free of viruses. AV software is something that we see results when user fails to protect the computer or when we have beginner users that open everything that receive by mail, browse malware sites... You can stay with Norton, NOD or Kaspersky for years and stay clean but it don't say that the AVs are good or not.
