Could someone please tell me if NOD32 scans for files/zips/rars/mp3's etc. WHILE the actually downloading is in progress AND automatically scans the files WHEN the downloading is finished (without telling me anything except when a virus is found)?. This would be great if it is this way so I don't have to "tell" my download-manager that NOD32 should scan all files when downloads is complete.

Imon scans BEFORE files are downloaded. Malware should never reach your hard drive. If it should however, Amon should catch malware realtime.

    Try your luck here. http://eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm

Depends on the type of download. If you have the IMON HTTP scanner enabled it will scan HTTP downloads. However, other download protocols like FTP will not be scanned. Hopefully they will add FTP to the IMON scanner.
