Scanning yesterday after downloading 2.1, I used Quick Scan.
ClamWin did a thorough scan, the others actually did a quick scan.

While running a scan I on my machine AVERT crashes when scanning. It scans fine with A2 but part way through the scan with VIPRE I get a Windows message that says AVERT has stopped working, and then it closes. I am going to try a custom scan without VIPRE and see how far I get.

I haven't promised any dates or time frames

Still working on some things. I originally version .9 and then worked my way to 2.1 rather quickly, so I'm a little burned out. Development will be a little slower now that I've got the main version done and released. If you have any suggestions, I'll be glad to look into adding them into AVERT. I'm currently working on adding additional scanners, some small tools, and maybe changing the GUI a little bit to increase functionality.

It's meant to remove infections automatically, so scans take a while when all 8 engines enabled. Also time will dramatically increase if you select a Complete scan.
    ClamAV
    Panda
    VIPRE
    A2
    Trend Micro
    Sophos
    Avira
    VBA32

Testing! Seems a excelent on-demand scanner!
Good job including several scanners, ccleaner and update feature.

ps: every time i press update, a new update for avert is available, although the version is already the latest (2.1).
Question: in order to use avira, is only needed to paste the HBEDV.KEY inside the folder \Scanner\AviraAntivir?
    thanks!

When doing a deep scan, some of the scanners stop, so is needed to press a "ok" button to close the current scan and continue (win 7 x64), meanwhile the application is stopped.

    Hey everyone,

I just wanted everyone to know that I haven't fell off the face of the earth just yet ;)

I just started a new job and am in the process of moving. So I haven't been working on AVERT much.

However, it looks like I'll be able to get back to working on AVERT very soon. I wanted to give you all a little information about what to expect with AVERT 2.5. I'm jumping straight to 2.5 from 2.1 since I'll be adding and changing a bunch of things.

    1. I'm going to add at least one more portable scanner
    2. 2 more installed scanners will be available, at least. Maybe more if I have time.
    3. Adding more tools to help alleviate issues caused by malware
    4. Adding clean up tools, to assist advanced users in personalized cleanup

As always, if there are any suggestions, please email me at avertsoftware at gmail dot com.

Can you email me more information about this, plus a screenshot? I've done the update process on three different operating systems a dozen of times and have found no issues. Could you also please attach your direct x file?

    Thanks

Deep scan is not an option in AVERT. Please email me with additional info, screen shot, and directx file.

    Thanks

Thanks a lot. I think I'm going to end up parsing the HTML to determine if a new version is available.

    Thanks

If there has a command can disable or replace the default action "Quarantine" will be better, for example, delete, clean, quarantine, skip...etc...:D
