The "Regular automatic update" task is vital for automatic updates to be run in regular intervals (60 minutes by default). If it's not listed in scheduler, I'd strongly suggest installing EAV from scratch as follows:
1, uninstall EAV via Add/remove programs or via the Uninstall ESET NOD32 Antivirus link in the Start menu (in case this fails, use the Uninstall tool in safe mode)
2, download the latest version of EAV 5.2.9 from ESET's website and install it
3, make sure the "Regular automatic update" task appears in Scheduler

Let us know if EAV starts updating every hour then.

    Thanks for the help Marcos.

EAV 5.2.9 now dowloaded and "Regular automatic update" shows in Scheduler.

I now have 6 entries in Scheduler and the only one not ticked reads "Automatic update after user logon" Should this be ticked?
