Automated Backup Fails to Execute

Please forgive me if this is covered elsewhere.

I have Home Acronis True Image V. 11. I have set up a daily backup of the entire system as a task. It fails to run. Any suggestions why?

I'm running XP, no Vista. This worked fine under version 10. BTW.

 

There have been many postings about this. What you are experiencing has been noticed by many folks. In my situation I set up the Windows Task Scheduler to perform this instead. I realize that this is a short-term solution but it works.

Did you set the task up using v11, or did it automatically recognise the v10 task?

Do you get any entry in the log at all?

Is the image drive switched on and recognised by TI 11?

In my case, 11 will recognize the tasks. But I chose to erase them and do them from scratch when I had the problems that you described. There's no log entry when it doesn't run. I've since reverted back to 10.
