Auslogics Disk Defrag was designed to remedy system sluggishness and crashes caused by disk fragmentation. It is optimized to work with today's modern hard disks. Auslogics Disk Defrag is extremely simple to use, does not require any analysis phase and is faster than most of the other disk defragmentation software. It will help you get the maximum performance out of your expensive hardware investments. And, what’s most important, it's absolutely FREE.

Disk fragmentation leads to system slowdowns, PC crashes, slow startup and shutdown and sometimes to system failures. Auslogics Disk Defrag® is designed for fast optimization of today's modern hard disks. Get the maximum performance out of your expensive hardware investments.
It works on Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/2003 (32-bit and 64-bit and dual-core CPU supported).

No matter what they do in marketing, this is a good software.

Free Defrag Tools, which offer Boot-Time Defrag are, by far, better.
De-fragmentation within Windows (i.e. when Windows keep files Open/in-Use)
is Not as effective as Boot-Time De-fragmentation!
[Puran Free, Defraggler (only system files), UltraDefrag, and SmartDeftag 2.0 Beta].

Thats true, maybe they will include Boot-Time De-fragmentation in the next versions. For a free defragmenter Auslogics is good, if you want a professional defragmenter then buy PerfectDisk.

I know, i know.... you like Puran Free. That is good too, but in my opinion PerfectDisk is the best.:)

If is Unfair to compare Puran Free -or any Freeware-
with a Paid one (Shareware) like PerfectDisk, Diskeeper etc.

True, but Puran has a paid version too. Then i compare Puran paid version with PerfectDisk. ;)

The tread was about Auslogics Disk Defrag which is Freeware like Puran Free, Defraggler, UltraDefrag, and SmartDeftag.
What happens with Shareware and -whether PerfectDisk is actually the Best Tool or Not- is another story...;)
