    Hello All,

We are evaluating to find out if we can use TrueImage for our 100+ linux servers.
I just backed up a linux machine with two logical volumes each of 4gb and 2gb + swap 2gb. The used space is only 1.2 gb of the total.

However when i backup using TrueImage(full authentic version got from sales rep), the backup file is 8GB. I see that the linux lvms are not being compressed at all. TrueImage is just backing up the entire volume group (including the free spaceas is). This maynot be acceptable as we have servers with Logical Volumes of 200gb's but only a small % of that is used.

Has anyone faced this problem ? Is there a workaround ?

We are using SuSE-9, 2.6 kernel and i am using a bootcd to backup.

    Please advice,
    THANKS
